CD Reviews

What is he talking about?
ooofuo | Whitesboro, NY USA | 07/04/2000

"The guy that wrote the reveiw above me has no idea what he is talking about. Who buys a soundtrack to hear explosions and gun fire. Ok!I think he's one of those werid stalkers in the chat rooms. But anyway. The sound track is pretty good it may not have any "war noises" but it has some really good music. Strike like lightning is a cool song. If you like the movie you'll like the soundtrack."
Buy it for the songs from Mr. Big

"I bought this soundtrack a long while back after seeing the movie at the theatre. What a great movie, and i couldn't get enough of those 2 great rock sounds. So i quickly discovered who made em', and the band was Mr. Big. A band which never got recognition and it's a shame. They have big talent and great sound. The two songs "Strike like Lightning" and the song that ends the movie in the credits "Shadows" are both some great tracks and you won't find these songs on any other album of Mr. Big's other than this soundtrack. So whether you like the movie, like Mr. Big, or both, get this soundtrack before it's out of print for good!"
Awesome Rock Soundtrack

"Man, they just don't make soundtracks like this anymore. In the late 80's / early 90's, no matter how bad a movie was, you could usually count on some great rock songs on the soundtrack.

The soundtrack to Navy Seals is no exception. You get two exclusive songs from Mr. Big, both of which are fantastic, Bon Jovi covering the Thin Lizzy classic "The Boys Are Back In Town", plus new material from ex-Foreigner mainman Lou Gramm. The rest of the album, despite featuring relatively unknown artists, is just as good. In particular, the tracks by Gowan and Lisa Hartman are great AOR songs.

This is a must-have soundtrack for any fan of 80's rock. There are at least half a dozen tracks on this disc that you could point at and say "this was worth it for just this one song".
