"Here it is. About a month ago I put up a stink about Amazon not having this collection. Not really in any sort of direct way, but they must have heard me prayin'.. cuz here it is! And they dropped it right in my items to check out box this morning! Nice.
This three disc box set is a little pricey but is worth every penny if you like the old time blues (specifically the old time blues loaded up with dirtty innuendos) like Bullmoose Jacksons classic tune BIG TEN INCH RECORD.
These songs have always held a special place in my mind, due to the fact that they can take a bunch of filthy minded topics, and make them sound almost classy... sometimes they are really subtle (this was of course how the blues artists squeezed some songs onto the radio back in the days of church ruled radio) ... some songs however still just don't even give two craps about how filthy they are.... like Blind Boy Fullers WHATS THAT SMELLS LIKE FISH? (why I nevvver!) ...
But this thing has a vibe much cooler than what can be found today in music (we are so desensitized these days it's not even funny- really, it's just not funny, it's pretty lame) ... go back in time, when people had to come up with clever ways to say things... it's pretty frickin' sweet.
By the way, I'm a sucker for old school stag pics, and there are a few nice ones in this package too.... that chick licking the 78? Yeah...
