Mostly Original Soundtracks Makes This a Worthwile Buy

"All but 2 of the songs here are original soundtracks ("Alfie" is sung by Dionne Warwick, not Cher as in movie; "Flashdance" is sung by Irene Cara, but not the version from the film). For the reviewer who wanted all the instrumental tracks, there's a whole other CD of just scores, called "Paramount Pictures 90th Anniversary Memorable Scores". This one IS called "Paramount Pictures 90th Anniversary Memorable Songs" for a reason, with songs representing the studio's entire history. If anything, there are too many songs from recent films, far from classics, such as "Tomb Raider" and "Save the Last Dance" ... how can they put those alongside "Saturday Night Fever" and Sinatra??? Still, a mostly great collection if you don't already have the individual albums."
