"Do you think my subject-heading is a bit harsh? You didn't have to sit through it!! I'm a huge Billy Joel fan and also a pianist myself. The CD/album cover really gives no indication of what this disc is, so I bought it and figured I'd check it out myself. The CD is made up of various Billy Joel songs being played on a piano (most likely in a home-studio). After the piano track was laid down, the "artist" went back and added in some cheesey strings sounds, which could either be from a $200 Casio keyboard or a more sophisticated Synthesizer. The point is: the strings sound is so bad that you won't care how they were added. I have only one positive or complimentary thing to say about this CD. I did not observe the pianist make any mistakes. The piano arrangements were played without error. Unfortunately, the lack of mistakes is also accompanied by a lack of originality, creativity, sensitivity, musicality, emotion, inspiration or any other quality that would make this CD worth recommending."
