CD Reviews

One of the best trance compilations

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I think all music released under Platipus label are impressive in general. In my opinion they put out the best trance music--I call it unadulterated trance, classic and pure. It doesn't have much of that bouncy-house tranciness to it. It's more musical, melodic and often dark, and yes sometimes even a little new-age-y. This album is an excellent compilation of Platipus releases. It's not a continuous mix. Although the album contains great songs, I think they tried to get this compilation 2K-compliant, by failing to including their great, classic tunes from the early 90s. Too bad they didn't put more classic, older versions of the Art of Trance or Poltergeist (Vicious Circles) on the album. Overall, though, I am happy I bought this album. I honestly do listen to this often w/o getting bored by it."
