"This is a very DIFFERENT punk mix than most punk mixes. Even though it's from Devil Doll Records, it contains bands from FIFTEEN different record labels. It tells the labels on the inside. That is not even counting the bands that it doesn't tell the label to. SO buying this comp is exposing you to MANY different punk labels, not just one! for this reason, it is a very good way to get started with punk. Before I got this comp the ONLY bands I had heard of before were:
Swingin Utters, Zeke, Nofx, Wizo, Lagwagon, Automatic 7, and Screw32. SO, this album exposed me to a WHOLE world of new punk bands. Automatic 7 surprised me with a song much better than everything else I had heard from them, before. NOFX, let me down with an unreleased song that should have never been released otherwise anyway. Zeke $ucked as usual.Plinko reminds me of Satanic Surfers. I was especially impressed with them. I REALLY liked Tiltwheel. I also was impressed by Wynona Rider, and Brown Lobster tank. However, none of the bands that I didn't already know about were good enough to buy CDs from them. NOFX, is pretty much the only worthy band here. However, this NOFX song $ucked. For this reason this is getting 4 stars instead of Five. If you want better Punk mixes that introduce you to bands worth buying, check out Punk-o-Rama Vol 4 and Vol 5."
