It Took Two Plays

"I bought this CD on a whim: And listening to the tracks on the initial play (I guess I was comparing track three, "California Dreaming" to the original version) I thought to myself that this CD wouldn't be a repeat listen. Well I was wrong!
While I find fault with some of the weak voices on some of the tracks the music works as a complete set. The flow from one cut to another is almost perfect. This is not serious music after all: It is downtempo designed to chill one out. An exquisite cut on the CD is by the artist "Mayna" entitled "Tu.""

"This is the best chillout album I've heard in 2004. The exquisite downtempo melodies literally float on air. This compilation is sublime in every sense of the word. Turn down the lights and prepare to be swept away to some scenic remote location tucked away in the South of France with the echoe of waves resonating in the background. Another fine Rasa recording. If you're ever in Dallas, TX...drop into the Lush Lounge on Lower Greenville and you'll hear these tracks chilled over the sound system.
