Bitter reviewers tear down the CD to prove their stupidity.

"Don't listen to what the bitter reviewers think, listen to the CD yourself, I assure you, you won't be disappointed. A wide range of styles and songs has been compiled to fully accent the movie, and that's why the CD appeals to a wide audience. From the slow bittersweetness of the song, "Like Lovers" by Texas to the stronger alternative song by Electrasy, "Cosmic Castaway", the CD doesn't disappoint. The lyrics fit so well to the movie it's downright eerie. This is true for nearly all of the songs on the album, and the arrangements of the music complement the moods of the lyrics perfectly. Plenty of imagery in the music on this CD. If you've seen the movie, scenes are conjured up as the music plays. Akima's song, "Like Lovers", truly amazes while Cale's theme, the triumphant alternative rock song, "It's My Turn To Fly" by The Urge, makes us feel as Cale does as he proves he was born to the stars as he races 'wake angels' through space. Folks, you don't want to pass this one up. Trust me. Listen to it for yourself and see how truly spectacular this soundtrack is."
A very eclectic mix -- no one will like every song

"I bought the soundtrack after seeing the movie and being taken by the alternative rock songs in it. To my disappointment, this cd has not just rock, but rap, reggae, and other styles. The end result is a mixed bag - it's definitely not a disc that anyone will play straight thru. The reason I still give it 4 stars, however is because there are at least 6 songs I like, and 2 I think are modern classics (Cosmic Castaway, and Not Quite Paradise are worth the $). Having said that, I restate that this cd will disappoint overall, but if you liked the songs actually in the movie (the rock songs) you have to have it."
Urge makes this soundtrack

"After the first listen to the soundtrack, i was disappointed. However the second time throough, i really enjoyed many of the songs, including tracks by Lit, and especially THE URGE! Wow, these guys know how to rock and i was expecting more of the same, but they somehow incorporated the techno-future theme into their music and made a dynamite song. Look for their new Disc titled Too Much Stereo to be in stores July 18."
Good but....

"The songs are great, nothing to submit... Ok, there are different styles but that makes this soundtrack a mixture that fits quite well. There is only one great BUT! If you are looking for the real score , instrumental songs, like the great introduction music (cliché but nice) or the romantic piano music/violin score as Cale is wounded, you won't find it... personally I think this is another commercial album... never the less it still has some class...A shame the soundtrack doesn't contain score!"
...It's Over My Head...

"A great soundtrack to a great movie. Lit's 'Over My Head' is fun, Powerman 5000's 'The End Is Over' is okay, But the two best songs of all are Electrasy's 'Cosmic Castaway' and Urge's 'It's My Turn To Fly'. Although most of the music on here is rock and metal (there's even a song that's rap), it's nonetheless good music for fan's of the movie."
