When I first picked up this disc, I hadn't heard of the Trance Party series. In fact, I was still a fringe dance/trance listener and I didn't know what was good and what wasn't.
So when I picked up this disc, I found maybe two appreciable songs, and put it away. Then I wanted to listen to those songs, and found a couple more songs. Then a couple more. Then a couple more. Now I listen to the entire disc with a sense of calmness and relief.
Many people will object with the use of Trance in the title of this disc/series, but what they aren't understanding is the very distinct difference between American Trance and European Trance. American Trance is Trance Nation America (look that up). It is long, there isn't much difference from track to track, and while it is very ambient it isn't very exciting. European Trance, on the other hand, is both very exciting and does what the name implies, puts you in a trance. The combination of beautiful vocals, searing synths, and grounding beats allows your mind to wander while your body remains bopping to the drums.
1. Boys of Summer - A little pokey as a first song but if you can get past the initial build-up, works it's way into an amazing track. Not the best but a great start.
2. Diving - At first I wasn't fond of this song, but 4 Strings' vocals have captured me and this song is now a favorite.
3. Come...(Into My Dream) - Probably one of the weakest songs on the disc. It isn't very special but carries along nicely and is easy to sing to.
4. The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand) - Second in my top 3 on this disc. The vocals are amazing, the music is beautiful...can't go wrong here.
5. Gates of Mind - Very fresh sounding, but perhaps a bit too long. I like the track, I just wish it were shorter.
6. If I Were You - I used to think this song was ridiculous. The lyrics are quite childish at first but given a few listens, this track will have you jamming and contemplating. Great song.
7. Alone - Haven't we all heard this song? It isn't as annoying to hear because the blending from Candee Jay is well done.
8. La Marche De La Lune - Rock on for tracks that you won't hear elsewhere! I haven't found this track on any other compilation, and it is truly a shining gem. Third out of my top 3.
9. Be With You - A strikingly hard song and perhaps the edgiest on the disc, but alltogether a great tune. Good vocals.
10. Keep It Up - This is the closest to American Trance you will find on the disc. This is the first song to attract my attention is probably the second weakest song. Still, it is fun to bop around to.
11. The One - Beautiful track. Dee Dee's vocals are great and the song keeps me happy while it's on.
12. U R (My Love) - This is by far the best song on the disc. I read a review in which Desenchantee was said to be a better pick, but I disagree. This song has a lot of emotion, and the perfect musical switch half-way through. I disliked it the most and now it is one of my favorite songs (not just on this disc).
13. Beautiful Things - A very odd tune. Gorgeous and trancy in it's own right. I hope this spawns a new side of trance because the guitar driven beatsy sound of this is truly mindblowing.
14. Dreaming - Rather blah song. You will learn the lyrics, and sing, but I doubt it will be anything worth skipping to.
15. Wherever You Are (I Feel Love) - Another trance epitomizer. The vocals provided by Laava make my senses soar...I wish it was a bit longer.
16. Secret Love - A decent song to end the disc by, but the fact that I can't remember how it goes right now is probably a signal as to how good it actually is.
Hope this helps."

"Sorry guys, I'm assuming most of you guys buying this CD and writing its reviews are American. In that case, it's not your fault so to speak, but this CD is to trance, as someone else mentioned, is what Backstreet Boys is to pop, and 50 Cent is to rap. Total commercial, uninspired, mainstream, only-for-cash, trance tunes. This may not apply to all the tracks, but most of them. Americans do not get the same exposure to electronica as they do in other parts of the world, which is a shame, but it makes sense with 50 Cent and Britney Spears ruling the airwaves, giving no room to new music. And some people will be happy with these tracks, probably similar people listening to all the songs in TRL. Andain for example is a quality electronica tune, and I was surprised to see it in there, even though it's not 100% trance. But if you guys are into this, dig a bit deeper into the electronica scene and find the quality and awe-inspiring sounds of real electronica and trance."

One of the best, if not the best Trance CD's I've ever heard

"I heard my friend playing 4 String's "diving" in her car from this cd and I knew just from that song that I had to go get it. this is the essential dance cd to get a party started and just listening to it makes me feel good and thats what i expect out of a good trance cd. heres some reviews of my favorite songs..4 strings "diving": the second song on the cd and one of the best in my opinion. awesome vocals, awesome beats. if you liked "take me away" by 4 strings, you'll like this song even better.foggy "come into my dreams": one of the most SLAMMIN songs on the cd. really gets me pumped. the bassline and the beat is absolutely insane and the vocals are greattttt. a really good house vocalDivine Inspiration "the way (put your hand in my hand)": one of the best songs on the cd. the piano solo in the song is absolutely perfect for the song and the vocals are great. a really feel-good house vocal. Lasgo "alone": another good house-y song. i love everything lasgo does but the radio really played this song out BAD so i just skip it. if you like lasgo but are looking for a new song from them to bump, try "dont belong to you". in my opinion its the best song on the cd and should of been released even before "something". trust me. tara lowe "be with you": second best on the cd. the beats are so hard and the vocals are so hot, this song does not disappoint.dee dee "the one": another one of the best. its got a hard bassline and slammin vocals. this song definitely has the potential to be one of the biggest house anthems of all time, up there with "castles in the sky", "something", and "feels so good" and others along those lines. kate ryan "u r my love": my personal favorite on the whole cd. as you're listening to the vocals in the beginning of it, you can tell that theyre building up to a HARD beat and the track does not disappoint. my recommendation if you've never heard it before.. put it in the cd player and play it as loud as it goes and watch the room shake. laava "wherever you are": another great song. good vocals, good beat. awesome track."
Trance Party 3

"Trance Party Volume Three has a great collection of Trance-Pop tunes (though most are under Robbins Label). Here's a little bit of what I think of each track:01 DJ Sammy - The Boys Of Summer - - Another 80's cover done well by DJ Sammy, this time around Loona & Mel do vocals. Great song... makes you feel nostalgic. 5/502 4 Stings - Diving - - A pretty cool song, it's getting a bit old now... couldn't they have used "Let It Rain" (the new single) instead? Oh well, still a good song, nice transition from The Boys Of Summer. 4.5/503 Foggy - Come... (Into My Dream) - - I'm surprised they didn't opt to use the Pulsedriver mix for the CD, as it has more vocals, this version of the song is mostly instrumental, but it's still good though. 5/504 Divine Inspiration - The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand) - - Pretty good song, but not one of my favorites. 3.5/505 Sterbinszky & Tranzident featuring Jewls - Gates Of Mind - - The instrumentation in this song really reminds me of DJ Sammy & Yanou's "Heaven", but it's not quite as good as Heaven. 4/506 Candee Jay - If I Were You - - Finally! The main reason I bought this CD was to hear Pronti & Kalmani's new dance act Candee Jay!! The song itself though is reminiscent of other Alice Deejay songs (mainly Will I Ever, Celebrate Our Love, and No More Lies). 5/507 Lasgo - Alone - - Again this song is kinda old, but it was just released in America so I guess you could consider it "new". In m opinion, this song is better than the first single "Something". A little more emotional. 4.75/508 Outfly - La Marche De La Lune - - Eek! What a name for a song! Has a strange transition from Alone. This song is pretty boring in my opinion... 2.5/509 Tara Lowé - Be With You - - Awesome! This song is written and produced by Dave Vervoort and Peter Luts of Lasgo! Though in my opinion this song is better than most Lasgo songs! 5/5 10 J&R Project - Keep It Up - - Nice synths, but not many vocals... Has a pretty good transition to Dee Dee's The One. 3/511 Dee Dee - The One - - Awesome song! Dee Dee is Ian Van Dahl (with a different singer and another DJ). I know most people don't like her voice but I like it, a classic song (but not quite as good as "Forever") 5/512 Kate Ryan - U R (My Love) - Désenchantée was originally planned for this release, but the Happy Boys decided to stick to English and release this song instead. It's still a good song, but Désenchantée would've been better. 4/513 Andain - Beautful Things - - This song creeps me out... Where's the beat??? I don't see why it was put on this CD, the song [stinks], it's not as upbeat or catchy as any of the other songs on this mix. 1/514 Hannah Rose - Dreaming - - The chorus is a little too vocoded for my liking, still an alright song though, they should've toned down the chorus... 3.25/515 Laava - Wherever You Are (I Feel Love) - - La la la... Pretty catchy, Robbins will be releasing this as a CD Maxi-Single pretty soon, good song. 4/516 Ian Van Dahl - Secret Love - - They opted to use the Midnight Radio Edit for the CD, I personally prefer the C & V mixes better but hey it's still an awesome song, with awesome vocals, so pure... 5/5Overall, this is an awesome CD with a few bad tracks, but believe me you'll wanna listen to this CD more than once! Trance Purists probably wont care for this CD much due to it's Trance-Pop feel, but for mainstream trance lovers this CD is awesome, it features the debut of Candee Jay and Tara Lowé! Get this!"
