"I got this the other day at Mardel's. I picked it up because I've always been into rap, and it was only $4.99. What did I have to lose?



I popped it in, and the it was the third track (out of 23!) that first caught my ear. "Monotone" is a powerful flow describing how the world and gangsta lifestyle is seemingly dull and gray (leading to death), and how "we befriended the infinite, the cat who lived and died, rose and then ascended".



The next track finds Jurny Big with a funky beat that's fun. Tracks 5 and 6 make up "Palm Sunday" which has a phat flow and awesome lyrics, with a beat the reminds me of something the RZA would have done for the Ghostdog soundtrack.



"Headlock" is another track that makes me replay it, because its fun, funky, and just sounds awesome. Makes me wanna holla! "Back in the day" is a funny track that takes you back to silly stuff that you may relate to if you were a child of the early 90's.



Let me say that sometimes the mixtape aspects (mixing one beat into another) sometimes aggravates me because they don't quite mesh well. On the other hand, they squeezed more than 73 minutes onto one CD, so it's packed an assortment of styles, sounds, etc.



I haven't even made it through all the tracks yet, but from what I've heard so far, this is an AWESOME alternative to mainstream "gotta get mo' money, ho's, hennesy, and sticky icky." For real- I appreciate these guys getting the message out that there's more to life that that.
