Entertaining Latin-Flavored Soundtrack

"In continuing the film's central theme of a Latin family living in the Bronx, the filmmakers of "I Like It Like That" decided to release a second volume of music that devotes itself specifically to Latin music. While this volume contains two of the same songs that appear on the first volume, specifically "I Like It" by the Latin AllStars and "Si Tu No Te Fueras" by Marc Anthony, the soundtrack explores the many different styles of Spanish-language music many Latin artists have been expanding into.On this collection, you'll hear a bit of Spanish-language rap ("Subeme El Radio," by Lisa M), a bit of Spanish-language reggae ("Manuel Santillan, El Leon" by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs"), to some Colombian Cumbia ("Cali Aji" by Grupo Niche) that reflects the versatility of Latin artists nowadays. Tuna Medina's "Anda y Camina" and Julio Iglesias' version of "Guajira/Oye Como Va," is an excellent cover of a classic song. Although the soundtrack is good in my opinion, the soundtrack could have used additional songs that were in the film including "Perdon" by Danny Rivera, and the salsa song that is played when Lisette goes back to buy her wedding ring from the pawnbroker after landing a dream job. Overall, this is a good selection of Latin-flavored songs from a great film about Latinos living on the mean streets. Give both volumes (in addition to the film) and enjoy a great listening experience full of great artists."
