"This is a great group, & of course, you probably wouldn't be reading this if you didn't know this was a spectacular group (one of the *cutest* guy groups of all time, putting NSYNC & the Backstreet Boys to shame ;)!
So on to the CD itself: this CD is actually one of the best deals I've found online--even counting the used online venues such as half.com! Not only does it include a surprisingly large number of songs at a steal of a price; the shipping time really surprised me! I expected it to be shipped in 3 to 4 weeks, but found it in my mailbox within 3 days!!! (Though I don't know if this will remain consitent with your order.)
The sound quality is good, but not spectacular. The only other CD I've heard (The Comedian Harmonists, produced by Hannibal) seemed to have a bit better sound quality. Some of the songs on "The World..." seemed to me to be a bit fast-paced, compared with other recordings of the same song, and the 1996 techno-remake of "Veronika, der Lenz ist da" seemed to be a bit silly & superfluous, but of course, what techno-remake isn't? ;)
But all in all, this 2CD set contained some nice rare songs & value-wise, this thing is hard to top!!! (Don't let this be your definitive collection, though, 'cause there are quite a few great numbers missing!) But, wow. What a great deal!"
