"It is full of simple looped techno beats but I always find one really interesting track that stands out in my purchases. In this case, my favorite is "Mystery Cafe", which samples dialog from a noir movie with basic techno drumbeats and some keyboards, kinda as if the soundtrack to Casablanca was remixed by Moby. This track reminds me of work being done by The Grid at the same time. I always wanted to try and build it as a test of how good I was with samples...I figured I could put something similar together in a few hours. I never did, but I still enjoy this collection. So, yeah, if you like old Moby, you'll like this."

"First of all, this album is from 1993, so late 90's is impossible. A great album packed with a variety of good tunes! Good early Techno. Not too Trance, not too Rave, just good middle of the way techno. The first track is hot! A good start to this up and down ride! A roller coaster of music that flows smooth from start to finish! A must have for the TRUE techno fanatic! I would also highly suggest "Happy Rave '95" and "Rave til Dawn""
Typical dance techno -- not bad, not great

"This disc was published by BMG records and all tracks were produced by the artists specifically for this album, so don't think you're getting the best and the brightest techno artists on here. The tracks are all high-energy, hgh BPM, dance-style techno with pretty typical sampling, mixing and beats. There's nothing very innovative on the disc, but nothing that's offensive or poorly done, either. A solid 3-star collection of early-90's-style techno tracks."

"While the tunes here are all from the mid to late 1990's, they were cutting-edge in nearly any sense of that term. In the late 1990's, Trance and related techno styles wer all the rage at "RAVES" and all-night clubs. But while the music was becoming more popular, it was also losing its edge for the most part, as global entertainment conglomerates stripped it of its edginess and energy, preferring instead radio-friendly pap and popish vocal stylings. This set is the wild, untamed, raw stuff; straight from the digital music underground, but crafted as well as any high dollar record company's output.Highly recommended. Even thought the 1990's are history, this CD still sounds fresh."
