"Reasonably priced, well recorded (in particular considering the age of some of the performances), well performed old standbys. I assume most readers have heard the rhapsodies by Liszt, Enescu, and Chabrier, as I had. The Alfvén Swedish Rhapsody was new to me, but not disappointing.I usually listen to these at work with a company-issue PC, so you may find flaws with a high-end audio system which I've missed. I was surprised to find that five of the seven pieces were recorded between 1957 and 1959 by Eugene Ormandy and the Philadephia Orchestra at the Broadwood Hotel. The Chabrier is the only Town Hall piece.Overall, a reasonable value and a pleasant companion for 75 minutes."
