"I am continually impressed with Velvet Chain, and astounded that they're not uber-famous by now! This CD has such a great vibe to it - and the "Buffy" song is a scream! I think my favorite track on here is "Watching You," however. It's a really cool song with a bass line and a beat that totally get under your skin, and Erika Amato's vocals are just stellar. (As usual.) Buy this one - you'll love it."

"After falling in love with "Strong" on the recently released Buffy soundtrack, I bought this recording, then the earlier _Warm_ album. The Buffy EP is much more mature, polished, and just plain sexy--especially, of course, the original version of "Strong," which is one of the most lazily irresistible songs I can think of. (The alternate version, a hidden track on this EP, also featured on _Warm_, has a faster tempo, carelessly tossed-off vocals, and less interesting orchestration--it sounds as if it were recorded on the spur of the moment.) I think the real superiority of this EP--besides the deliciously dark "Buffy"--is the focus on more pensive, soulful songs like "Treason" and the haunting "Watching You." If you prefer faster, louder music for freeway driving, get _Warm_, but if you like sleek, haunting music that captures real emotion, "The Buffy EP" is far superior."

"The Buffy EP is terrific. If you've never heard, or even heard *of*, Velvet Chain before, you're in for a treat. Listening to Velvet Chain is an experience that's hard to describe -- the music is stylized and sexy. "Lush" is the only word I can use to describe it. You will get up and dance like nobody's business, even if only in your living room. Erika Amato's voice has gained polish since 1997's Warm (which is also a must-have) and Jeff Stacy continues to astound and amaze. Don't be scared off [sic] if you're not a Buffy fan, as only the first track is really specific to the show. There are no clunkers, although I'm more partial to the original version of "Frenchie." The fourth track, "Strong", is both alluring and addictive, and "Treason" enchants. This one will become a fast favorite."

"Of course, as a died-hard Buffy TVS fan, I had to buy this CD, and I just fell in love with track #1 - Buffy. Get this CD if you are like me. After one time, you cannot get this song out of your head"
