CD ReviewsVenice is THE BEST S. Romeyn | Long Beach, CA United States | 04/24/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Venice is an awesome band. I first saw them at My Place in Santa Monica in 90 or 91 and was hooked. I see them whenever they are in town now and have all of their albums. The front 4 are all of the Lennon clan (a la the Lennon Sisters, NOT John Lennon) and you can tell because the way they blend their voices into a melody is truly great. This particular album , if you can find a good copy, is a great one. Not as refined as their newer stuff, but you can feel the heart and soul. My copy got scratched a few years ago and I searched high and low to find another copy. If you buy it you won't be sorry. PS I'm not from the Netherlands (Venice is HUGE there; I just don't get why not here?), I am a local guy from LA. Peace." At My Place D. Otteson | Lakewood, CALIFORNIA | 06/01/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "My wife and I (my girlfriend at the time) saw Venice back in the early 90's at AT MY PLACE in Santa Monica (a very missed venue) and fell in love with the group. Wonderful melodies and great energy on stage. TO my surprise, I was listening to another AT MY PLACE alum (Micheal Ruff) and could pick out Mark Lennon's voice on that CD also. I do wish they had a bigger fan base so we could hear much more music from this fantastic band" One of Venice's early efforts-great addition to your collect Deborah L. Wilson | Denver, CO | 12/01/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Venice has been around for years and is one of the most underrated bands in America. They are wildly famous in parts of Europe and have two lead singers, Kipp and Mark Lennon, who along with their bandmates boast an amazing range of talents, from classic rock, to world beat, to pop, to acoustic harmonies remininsent of the 70s and 80s. Check them out-you'll love them!!"
