"Bernard Fabre-Garrus directs A Sei Voci in a performance of "Vesperae a Quattuor Choris a San Luigi dei Francesi" by Stefano Fabri (c1606-1657).
"This is a well-produced concert recording of some truly lovely Roman polyphony, composed by the almost unknown baroque composer Stefano Fabri. Fabri apparently spent almost his entire career working in Rome. Very few examples of Fabri's music are known to exist; they include only a handful of sacred works: psalm settings, motets, and magnificats. One wonders whether there aren't more such works tucked away somewhere. If so, we eagerly await their discovery." (Peter Loewen, American Record Guide)
