Unfortunately, all other information on the disc and in the booklet is in Japanese. I know Victor Young composed some of this music, including "Stella by Starlight," "My Foolish Heart" (beautiful melody!)and "Love Letters." It is possible that all these selections are from motion pictures (the cover is from "Shane", for example),but I can't swear to it. I wish I knew if Victor Young is conducting, and for that matter, what orchestra is playing. Regardless, the arrangements are quite beautiful.
The recording quality is very good, but there is some noise on the first track. Hence the less-than-highest rating.
If you like orchestral instrumentals, and/or appreciate the genius and artistry of Victor Young, this album is a must-have.

"There's a better CD for music of Victor Young: "Cinema Rhapsodies: Musical Genius of Victor Young," and Amazon has it. Check it out instead. Good liner notes IN ENGLISH and seemingly carefully compiled by a label and producer. Much better sound too, though it still smacks of '50s soundtrack quality."
