Of the Angels indeed!

"Victoria de los Angeles is the most sensitive artist I have ever heard. She distinctly ranks among that rare breed who can give meaning through vocal colors, accent, and sensitivity to the beat simultaneously. She touches the heart by incorporating a folk quality to all she sings. Regine Crespin is the only other artist I can think of who rivals her in this capacity. This CD is wonderful; the quality and the selections. When I was listening to de Falla's Siete Canciones Populares there was sudden applause after Polo, I was so surprised. The digital remastering is that superb and her artitry is so flawless as to suggest a studio recording. There are artists who have a mission like La Callas or Price. There are artists who sing for the diva status like Bumbry.
There are artists who are duty bound like Milanov.But there are also quiet artists who sing for the art itself as a medium of intense and sensual human expression, hiding in moonlight only to emerge with a message in hand and in voice. If this is your artist..........buy this CD."
