"Vierne, (for the uninitiated) his name is pronounced Loo-eee Vee-eaarrn (accents on 2nd syllables)
There is a great review of this man who was organist @ Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris until his death (at the organ. Go on-line http://www.california.com/~eameece/vierne.htm
His music is harmonically structured with a personal identity. No other composer before or after him embraced the identical music signature. When you hear his music you will always remember it and recognize it and want more of it.
Organist over the world from small churches, students and concert artists have performed this man's beautiful, delicate and yet strong music that even the man-in-the-pew can relate to as acceptable, never jarring, dissonances so delicate and quickly passing one almost is unaware of their existence when they are occasionally played.
If you are interested, email me and I will send you an audio cut of two pieces in contrast without charge.
Enjoy this man's legacy
Len"

"I like Ben Van Oosten performance very much.
And I like the music of Louis Vierne: simply fantastic!"
