A great start for Elenco

"Aloyisio de Oliveira couldn't had chosen better. For the first record produced by his independent recording company Elenco, he invited nobody less than Vinicius de Moraes and Odette Lara. The recording also features the arrangements of Moacyr Santos and, presumibly, Baden Powell's guitar.
The album as whole is very good - after all, it's almost impossible to make a bad album with such a team! "Berimbau" and "Labareda" have beautiful renditions, and it's impossible not to laugh when listening to "Mulher Carioca", knowing that Vinicius has married no less than eight times thoughout his life.
But the highest point is undoubtly "Samba da Bênção", which became the true classic of this album. Here, Vinicius both sings and blesses some of their friends and musicians which worked with him in his career. A stunning message of life, love and happiness which leads me to tears of joy whenever I listen to it.
Don't miss this record, you won't regret at all!"
