Worth the Money, but nothing special

"I only gave the CD 3 stars because he forces some stale lyrics just to get a rhyme in a lot of the songs. Besides that, this is a good album, nothing amazing. If you're a juggalo, you'll like it, their are songs that make the album worth it.
Fresh songs: Wake Up (Lyrically this song sucks, but the chorus is excellent), Fight Club, Get Out the Way, I Get Mad, Faster, Home Invasion, Let It Go(In my opinion, this is the best song on this album)
Straight Staleness: When I Rap; for some reason, I hate this song"

"if you listened to the version J gave away at the 08 Gathering you ain't heard The Shining. This version has all the tracks mixed and mastered plus 4 new songs that werent available on the gathering version but there are some songs removed as well my personal ones that should have been removed (When I Rap, Candy Land & Jealousy) but they took off a couple of my favs (The Gatekeeper & Ice Cold) but the 4 new songs make up for it (14 Year Old, Faster, Home Invasion & ??? also known as Freeway Kller)
All in all if your a Juggalo go buy this album its worth the money. It fits in great with all the other solo efforts from ICP & Twiztid"

"The Shinning is Violent J's second solo, first Wizard of the Hood. This is a very good album with great songs like, Faster, Jealousy, and Pyromaniac. It was said on [...] that J drank tea befor each studio session and also stopped smokeing three months before and durring the project. All I have to say is, "Shows". His voice is so good I did not believe it was Violent J. There are also some special guests on the album Psycopathic home-boy Esham and Violent J's Insane Clown Posse group mate Shaggy 2-Dope. This album is a must for any Psycopathic fan."
