"The qualities of Ricci's performance and even the undisputed beauties and complexities of the works recorded here are merely suggested by the awful quality of the sound recording. It is more likely the work of an amateur (one might guess if it has ever been authorized by the artist!), excruciatingly distorted and thoroughly covered by hiss and pops - the clearest parts are the applauses! There isn't anything like balance here. Worse yet, Ricci seems not to be at his best, although making any rendition about his performance is a heroic piece of guessing-what-might-be-happening-now-beyond-those-annoying-noises. A serious candidate to be immediately returned by any customer who dares to buy it despite all my efforts to warn you. So, don't!"
