"Think of "Shiver" as Swedish spy music. A reissue of a 1984 album by Virna Lindt, it's a Scandinavian treasure. The album starts out with "Attention Stockholm", a song about "Agent Lindt" trying to contact "Agent Stockholm". "Swedish Modern" could easily be an IKEA anthem. "The Dossier On Virna Lindt" features Ms. Lindt reading her bio, but it is oh so entertaining ("...Category...Swedish Model"). I would describe this album as 1 part Go Go, 1 part ABBA, 2 parts Bond Soundtrack, all mixed in an 80's timewarp. While we never take Ms. Lindt seriously, you can't dismiss this album as kitsch because it's aesthetic is that strong and engaging. Overall, a real treat."
