Classic, because it's still the best music around

"I just bought this cd recently, after enjoying the Blitz-time at Inflation in Melbourne. I missed this music in my collection, even after 20+ years. Isn't that incredible ? The music is catchy, dancable, at times brilliant, nostalgic, stylish and of sheer beauty. It's thatrical, aswell as glossy and it's like parading at The Ramblas at Barcelona or anywhere else. It's still fashionable, although you won't find a hairdresser or fashionist in my near surroundings.
I sincerely do hope, this music will have a rebound, as music has become to flat these days. Overproduced without any real spheric presence. Visage has all that. Look al the musicians...Magazine, Ultravox, Rusty Egan and Steve Strange. I've read that Strange is going to rule again in ol'new ways, and I wish him all the best. Hopefully he will be able to strike me again ...for another 25 years. But this music ? Will always be part of me. Not only for pasts'sake, although I can't deny it was a great time. And you can hear just that, for sure."

"Wonderul album, contains the brilliant 'fade to grey'. I always admire Steve Strange's outfits, he's different and this reflects onto the music too. This is a must if you love 80s/new romance. 'Damned don't cry' and 'pleasure boys' are also cool songs. Although Mr. Strange has been in bad press lately, his work here cannot be ignored."

"The Damned Don't Cry is a very good best of collection from Visage and Steve Strange. All the hits are included for instance, fade to grey, mind of a toy, love glove, in the year 2525, and many others. Steve Strange was and is a very ecentric fellow and he was as much know for his clothes as hit music. This is amazing music and the best of New Wave.
