"Don't let yourself be distracted and concentrate while listening to this CD. James Bowman's voice is so enthrilling that he will take you to the heights of his notes, making you wish to sing along and then leaving you breathless. There is so much intensity of feeling in his interpretation that Stabat Mater and Nisi Dominus in his rendering should be in the Top 10 sacred music performances of all time! The instrumental background is magical, making this a CD worth 10 stars!!"

"Here we have James Bowman singing his legendary performance of Vivaldi's Stabat Mater and Nisi Dominus. His voice is clear and he sings each piece without difficulty. His voice is very strong in all the pieces, and he remains true to the notation Vivaldi had written. I know because I have the sheet music. I nice piece to add to the collection, with a couple of Concerto interludes perfromed under the direction od Christpher Hogwood."
