"Within this mixture of blues standards(and not so standard blues numbers), instrumentals, vocals, and originals, there are some outstanding performances. The brothers rendition of "Preacher Man" displays some fine flute playing by Jerry, and is about as hip as that song could ever be played. "Itchin' & Scratchin'" is my favorite track which features a tight, classic rock N'roll flavored solo by Jimmy - the problem is the track only goes about 2 min.Of the vocal numbers, the brothers take on "Highway 101" might make James Brown proud. Jimmy's vocal shouts sound quite powerfull. Some of the other numbers like "Livin' In Vain" and "Jealous Kind" fall a little flat and drag on though. And during "Fat Burns" Jerry's sax can seem too cliche and self indulgent at times. Still, the better tracks show promise, and I would like to hear these guys, especially Jimmy, in the future. The rest of the band, consistng of organ/piano, drums, and percussion is tight and solid. All in all, a worthwhile disc."

"This CD, of great recorded quality, is outstanding. It has a superb selection that showcases the Vivino Brothers talent for all kinds of blues and jazz. I would recommend this album for the blues and jazz lovers out there that appreciate great music."
