Throughout her career, Irasema Terrazas has sung under distinguished orchestra conductors as a guest soloist in Mexico?s main orchestras. She has performed in concerts in Mexico and Switzerland. In the opera she has played the roles of Euridice, Micaela, Giulia, Madeline, Flor, Silvia, Pamina! , Amy, Leila, Freia, Helmwige, the Forest Bird, and Arianna, among others. Voces de tierra (Earth Voices) is a short cycle by Eduardo Gomboa set to poems of Alberto Ruy Sánchez and written expressly for Irasema Terrazas. Three poems by Jaime Sabines form the texts for Julio César Oliva?s cycle Por siempre Sabines, and film director Salvador Carrasco wrote the verse for Solamenta sola by Samuel Zyman. Four Buddhist songs by Kavindu round out this unique recital.« less
