"If you are not Dutch, why would you buy a CD with songs in the Dutch language? Because of the music of course. This astonishing debut CD contains one of the most beautiful love songs ever writen (Hou me vast = hold me), quite capable of trangressing any language barriers. My Chinese wife and many of my Singapore colleagues just love this track. And I might add that two others (afscheid = goodbye, het is over = it is over, well Dutch is not always difficult you know) are also in the major league. I rate these three amongst the best 100 songs ever, regardless of language. The other songs on this CD are almost unavoidably of slightly lower quality, but still worth listening to again and again. Even if you don't understand a word of Dutch, I'd encourage you to give it a try. And if you know (some) Dutch, so much the better, as the texts are quite intelligent."
