"I just recieved this disc, and have spent some time listening to it, so I thought I would submit a review. It is of course obvious to make comparisons to the first Voodoo Hill album, so let's start with that. The first S/T cd left me more than a little bored. The musicianship is first class, however the songs were pretty generic rock. Glenn's voice is always amazing, however he seemed to be merely singing over some standard rehashed rock riffs. On the new album, that is not the case. It appears that Hughes has contributed much more to the songwriting. The playing is as heavy and precise as the S/T release, however they have really come up with excellent melodic rock songs for this disc. The opening track being the finest example. Glenn overdubs some excellent harmonies on the refrains that really bring the song to life. Several tracks have a very Zeppelin influence going on, but what better influence can there be to let show. Overall I would recommend this disc, much moreso that the first release. It appears that Dario Mollo and Glenn Hughes are really starting to gell together. If they choose to collaborate on future releases we can all hope that they get better each time. All GH fans should pick up the disc and enjoy !!"
