You can feel how tight the band is throughout all other tracks as WES experiments with a wide variety of styles and rhythms. Atonement brings a breath of Latin feel into the album and is done with class. There is a sense of completeness and originality to every track that makes you want to listen to the CD over and over again to take it all in. This is the kind of CD you'd like to have on while you're driving alone, on a day-trip in chilly autumn day. An excellent addition to any jazz collection."
