CD ReviewsWell-played, yet boring cosmokane31 | San Francisco, CA United States | 05/25/2005 (2 out of 5 stars) "Walls of Jericho play tight and ferocious metalcore, but the breakdowns are predictable, full of second-rate Pantera riffs. Pedaling on open strings can only go so far, and without solos, melody, or other textures, the songs eventually run together. Singer Candace Kucsulain has an interesting voice, but ends up sounding same-y after a while. Seldom has music so well-played been so boring." All hail the dead Tony T. Agnew | warrington, england | 11/11/2004 (3 out of 5 stars) "i only just got this about a week ago-but i've listened to it about ten times or so.i was hoping it was going to be a grower(like relationship of command by atdi)but it is'nt.its average metalic hard core that trys to set itself apart from its peers by having a female vocalist.the vocalist screams dutifully through the discs entirety and its only when,on one song, vocal duties are shared that you can start to tune in.the end track is a instrumental that hints that wall.. have some originality about them-its ace.however,on the whole,walls..fail to inspire me.they tick all the boxes ie the screaming, the chugging and even the bro hymm style ooohhh ooohhhh ooohhh etc etc that is hardcore, its just that its not convincing to me and it does'nt move me.this is hardcore treading water...not going anywhere.if you want some of the good stuff try- strike anywhere 'change is a sound' or american nightmares 'background music'.all the best."
