CD Reviews

Absolute Necessity!

"ANYONE who thinks they understand disco from its early days will be pleasantly surprised when they hear this compilation. Future generations o DJs will still learn from this master who achieved cult status and was known as a DJs DJ. This collection is a must-have for any serious collector of early disco music outside of the Saturday Night Fever stuff; this is truly how it was back in New York City during the mid-70s."

"An amazing amalgam of disco, soul and gospel, this music has transcended its time - although it's immediately identifiable as 70s - and now sounds visionary. It can be a little hysterical, but the 3 discs are helpfully entitled The Madness Begins, The Madness Continues... and Total Insanity... By the time you get to Cellophane's Super Queen you may want to shriek like the banshee on the track. This is very mood-specific music."
