Album DescriptionHank Williams meets The Beatles at Raymond Carver's house on Artificial Light, the latest release from NYC singer-songwriter Ward White. Folk and country influnces abound on this harmony laden, melodic rock outing. Ward White's lyrics plumb the murky depths of fractured relationships and familial discontent. Artificial Light contains performances by NYC music veterans such as drummer Phoebe Summersquash (Small Factory, The Godrays, Brilliantine), Alex Kemp (The Godrays, Small Factory) and cellist Jason Frangos (888). Recording was overseen by producers Aaron Keane, Greg Griffith (vitapup), and Ray Martin (Marcy Playground, Into Another).
