"They had an album in the early eighties and died called Fighting for the Earth. It was good and contained their best ever track, the title track but this album is overall much better and more consistent and has an equally good sound as the first. Anybody who likes eighties metal such as Dio, Priest etc will like it, no problem."

"This is a super heavy duty metal album that no rocker should be without. The music is driving and the vocal and lyrics are equally well done. It was a while since these guys had done anything and they still do it well. The future of rock is going into the past to find a sound like this and bringing it back for us to enjoy. This is one to buy."

"Warrior last released an album in the mid-eighties, but now they're back with a vengeance. Ancient Future is a great album, full of great riffs and excellent songwriting. Stand-out tracks are Tonight We Ride and White Mansions. Kudos to Metal Blade for releasing this album. If you remember and like bands like Malice and Black 'n Blue, "Ancient Future" is right up your alley."

"hello fellow metallians. along my journey through power metal collecting (or just plain true metal, symphonic, classic, traditional, mellodic, epic and so on)over the past 20 years(im 25 now but got a stormwitch tape at a trade lot when i was little and became addicted to metal from then on,so ive been collecting 20 years now) i have cum across a buttload of killer metal bands(and plenty of pearly white teeth, just kidding) and warrior to me stand out as one of the best. they are not even a full time band, just putting out a cd once in a blue moon and each one with a new singer and lineup but they all kill and all are amazing. the cd code of life with rob rock is awesome. i just recently got this album and when i got to song #2 i was struck down by what is one of the hardest hitting metal anthems i have heard in a long time. when the song starts it is just a short vocal line with no music that leads into one of the longest solo vocal screams in history and while you are amazed by the vocal talent at the start of the scream that is when the killer guitar riff takes off like a bat out of hell and will have your fist in the air quicker than a wet t shirt contest. the music here can be compared to the type of sound you might hear on rob halford's ressurection or the crucible, killer meaty mellodic riffing and the vocals are some of the best i have ever heard. you know the singer from the cult. well take him and rob rock and put them into one and add the range of steelhearts singer and that is what this guy sounds like. metal heads all over need to get a dose of warrior because this music is screaming to be heard. if you like megadeth, primal fear, sinner, cage, kinrik, tribuzy, and rob rocks solo albums then you will eat this cd up. my only complaint is that roy z has not put out enough albums with warrior. i would love a reunion with this singer or rob rock and the other musicians because that would be killer, we metallians deserve another warrior cd. also the newest one with mark storace on vocals was pretty good. if you want crushing mellodic power metal that is catchy as hell then warrior needs a spot in your collection.your friend in metal, brandon whitson. 25 of bakersville north carolina"
