CD Reviews

What a true live album sounds like...

"Made in UK in 2000, Serial# SMA-CD-836, Playing Time 66:01Recorded for a webcast during the "Helldorado" tour, the sound quality is fair.Yes this release (#13) has flaws, but it's honest: no touch-ups, no gimmicks. Odd that Blackie and his cohorts don't perform any song from "Still Not Black Enough" or "K.F.D.".I've seen WASP a few times in concert, and what bothers me here is the same as what bothers me at their concerts: they conclude almost every song with a "finale" of rumbling bass/guitar chords/crashing cymbals that last generally over a minute... Guys, it's OK to just finish it with a punch instead of stretching on and on... Also strange is that there are no musician credits...This is a recording for fans only, not for someone who wants a "sample" of WASP's greatest hits. It's good, but not THAT good!"
AWSOME!! 80's style metal at it's best!

"This was the first live concert video I had ever bought and I was blown away. I have been a fan since 87 but never saw them live. THis kicks ass. The only thing I don't care for is the editing...the scenes change so fast sometimes it get a little irritating. But overall I think if you are a WASP fan..you have to have it!"
POOR QUALITY RECORDING

"I AM AMUSED BY PEOPLE STATING THAT THE RECORDING IS GOOD BECAUSE IT IS "NOT POLISHED" AND "RAW". THIS IS JUST A EUPHEMISTIC TERM FOR LAZY POOR QUALITY CRAP AND IS WHAT DESTROYED MUSIC IN THE POST-80'S ERA. WITH THE LIKES OF PEARL JAM,NIRVANA ETC, THE POLISH WAS GONE AND THE LAZY, UNREFINED CRAP PREDOMINATED. DESPITE WHAT THE THE BRAINDEAD,LYRICALLY, MUSICALLY AND VOCALLY UNTALENTED ARTISTS FROM THE 90'S WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE (SUCH AS THE AFOREMENTIONED ARTISTS) MEDIOCRITY IS NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF NOR ACCEPTING OF. IF THE 80'S TAUGHT US ANYTHING, THAT WAS IT. IT IS A DUTY TO YOUR FANS AND TO YOURSELF TO POLISH THINGS UP FOR THAT CLEAN HIGH ENERGY FEEL WE ARE SO ACCUSTOMED TO FROM WASP. DOUBLE LIVE ASSASSINS HAD THAT QUALITY AND DESERVES FIVE STARS. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THIS TWO IS BECAUSE IT HAD NEW MATERIAL AND EVEN IN THE MOST PRIMITIVE OF PRODUCTION IT IS STILL WASP. HOWEVER, I RETURNED IT TO THE STORE ANYWAY, WAITING FOR THE NEXT WASP LIVE ALBUM WHICH WILL HOPEFULLY BE POLISHED."
