Synopsis

Product Description
Wedding Cake is a delightful disc of French music for two pianos and piano four hands from Onyx artist Pascal Rogé and his wife Ami Rogé. The music is a mix of the urbane, witty, tender, passionate and dramatic from Saint-Saëns sparkling Wedding Cake Caprice, to the passion and eroticism of Ravel s La Valse, to the drama of The Sorcerer s Apprentice by Dukas and the gentle and sophisticated romanticism of Faure s Dolly Suite. Also featured on the CD is Paul Chihara s Ami Suite, which was written for Pascal and Ami and receives its world premiere recording here.

CD Reviews

A sweet treat indeed
Nancypreis | St. Petersburg, FL | 03/31/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"There is not a living pianist who can interpret French piano music better than Pascal Roge and now he has joined forces with his new wife, Ami Roge, to produce this exquisite album of two piano and piano four hands works. That they are intimately connected is evident from the first, and that they are very much in love is also clear. The album is an interplay of two souls, crystal clear in its execution. This is happy music (no funeral marches here) performed by two brilliant musicians at the top of their game."
