"A surprisingly good and interesting variety of music. I've listened to chill/lounge music for 5 years (a guilty pleasure)...and in my opinion this is as good as it gets...and it's damn good! The satisfaction I got from this CD led me to listen to other CDs from the Electric Lounge label (from Germany/www.electric-lounge.com)...and they are equally fantastic. Two artists in particular stand out: AKMusique and Mindprint Traveller...both are the same guy (Andreas Kolinski), all instruments are played by him! "Cafe Noir 2002" by AKMusique has GOT to be the sexiest, most laid back, coolest little piece of heaven I've heard in a long time!!...give it a listen, you'll agree!
This is the ultimate chill/lounge sound...velvety smooth...a dash of world (Middle East/Brazil), a touch of female (French) voices, a hint of ambient...a pinch of mystical exoticism...stir it up...and it's a totally sensual feast! Good for home background music, car driving music or boudoir lovemaking...and what's nice is that it will sound just as good 5 years from now. I would start with this CD or one of the four volumes titled "Best of Lounge Music (IMPORT)".
My next purchase will be all four volumes of the "Ayurveda Buddha Lounge" series. Electric Lounge CDs may be a little expensive...but they're well worth the investment. I'm hoping AKMusique releases his OWN CD soon. As Snoop Dogg would say, it's "laaaid back"!"
