Too enthralled to applaud

"When Wendy Corrick gave a concert at the church where I am Director of Music (1st Church of Religious Science, Morristown NJ), after her first selection the audience was frozen in a state of reverence and awe, and somehow by mutual unspoken agreement, no one applauded. This mood was sustained throughout the entire concert. I have never been at a concert where no one applauded. It was as if the space that Wendy's beautiful music created was so sacred that no one wanted to jar it with the sound of clapping. At the end, though, the clapping was thunderous! My favorite song from this CD is "The Nightingale" which is exquisite in its simplicity and beauty. Wendy is also a warm, personable performer and I look forward to having her back at the church in 2002 and possibly performing with her. This is a wonderful CD for healing, calming yourself down and moving into a peaceful, centered space."
