CD ReviewsLet's Get Naughty Beth R. | Wisconsin | 11/15/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This cd truly is WHITE HOT! Rock music today is missing something, and that something can be found on this super sexy and oh-so-fun cd. As soon as I heard the beginning of the first song, "Good Head", I thought to myself, "It sounds like old Kiss, how fun!". And it just got better from there. These guys sound like they are having a lot of fun playing together. You won't be able to just sit and listen to it, but will be compelled to get up and dance, headbang, or....... gee, it's getting hot in here. Singer Steve Perry's song lyrics are an interesting and sexy treat to listen to, as always. I think my favorite song is "Ride the Snake"- Wow! What a naughty jam! Just thinking about it makes me want to....... What a talented bunch! Thank you White Hot Odyssey!" White Hot ROCK! Mz. M | NY | 11/14/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "White Hot Odyssey is the reincarnation of everything that was sweaty, loud, dumb, and sexy about 1970s rock n' roll. It's as if KISS, T-Rex, the Sweet, and AC/DC had an orgy, resulting in a baby wearing Gary Glitter's glitter and feather boa. I'm just going to say whether this is good music or not -- and this is GOOD MUSIC. It's headbanging, air-guitar-playing, jumping-on-the-bed, making-out-in-the-backseat-of-your-76-Mustang kind of music. It's unabashed, unbridled, and so indulgently sticky sweet raw. Take a look at the song titles: 1. Good Head 2. Permanent Juvenile 3. Hot Tub Party 4. Popularity Contest 5. Head Cheerleader 6. Spit it Up 7. Subway Killer 8. Siamese Connection 9. Ride the Snake 10. Lick the Pole 11. 3 in Bed Not for kiddie sing-alongs! But I think the song that best sums up White Hot Odyssey's mission statement is "Permanent Juvenile": Rock n' roll's about long hair and getting high Hot girls who spend the night Six packs, eight tracks, till you're really [...] in' up your life Vocalist Steve Perry and lead guitarist Jason Moss are from the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, but don't go thinking that you're going to hear any swing on this album. If you're familiar with the lyrical material on CPD's "Ferociously Stoned," the overly raunchy content will thrill you. Either that, or make you say aloud, "Holy crap, did he just say what I think he said?" I really can't praise this debut album enough. If you're in the Portland/Eugene, OR area, be on the lookout for local shows -- getting your eardrums blown out by them live is such a treat. It's all in naughty, dirty fun." White Hot Wow Francis Adams | Van Buren, Ark, USA | 12/01/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "I loved the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, and it seems as thought Steve has done it again. Sure fire. Dirty funk, catchy tunes....I loved it. And just for the record, Ride The Snake is my favourite. I'd definately recommend this to anyone who is a fan of The Daddies, or bands like The Darkness. White Hot Odessey is great, and I'm very glad I invested in it!"
