Synopsis

Product Description
The band s second studio album Roots & Groove showcases Whitewater Ramble s growth as songwriters and musicians. Produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth, the album features an array of special guests such as Andy Hall on dobro (Infamous Stringdusters), Andy Thorn on banjo (Leftover Salmon), Grammy Award winner John Macy on pedal steel and Bill McKay (Leftover Salmon, Derek Trucks Band) on piano.

WhiteWater Ramble is aesthetically a bluegrass band on the surface. Mandolin, Fiddle, Double-Bass, Guitar........... and Drums. Upon a deeper look you ll find a roots influenced band that blends traditions of early American music with a newgrass flair and a groovegrass twist. The quartet s original music explores the humanistic elements of the flawed man...storytelling through nefarious narratives, murder ballads, devilish villanelles, scorned lovers' laments, and intoxicant infused ramblings crossed with mystical visions and instrumental journeys.

Driven by blistering pickin, engaging harmonies and alluring grooves, the ensemble burrows flagrantly into tragedy, comedy, redemption, overindulgence, morality and shady dealings as the backdrop for their genuine and eccentric style of writing.

Additionally, the band's repertoire also brings a humble regard for the standards and offers a respectful, yet fresh approach to timely bluegrass classics, quintessential fiddle tunes and old-timey gems. Inevitably, the live show experience with WhiteWater Ramble inspires dance floors to flutter and bottles to run dry.

Described as High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass, WWR uses a simple recipe to craft its sound: start with bluegrass instrumentation, add drums, and finish with a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from disco house grooves to roots to Americana. Festival appearances include Wakarusa, HarvestFest, 80/35, NedFest, Bohemian Nights NewWestFest and appearances at Planet Bluegrass Wildflower Pavilion.
