"Will's voice is as good as any classical-crossover artist, but he adds a very 'natural' quality to his presentation. You can 'feel' the real human being behind this great voice!!-------This lad is from New Zealand, and this is not an American production, so should not be compared to them.---The song selection reflects a different 'classical taste' that this American finds refreshing!! At 23 years young, this is as fine a voice as you will ever hear on a CD.----I am so glad to have found out about this man's work.-----A wonderful CD to own.------just a note, the Australian import may be cheaper, and is offered here on Amazon.----It just has a different cover.-------Enjoy!"
A remarkable talent

"A remarkable singing talent, it is hard to image this mature and powerful voice emanates from a slight twenty three year old New Zealand lad, who looks even younger.
The interesting selection of songs range from the traditional Last Rose of Summer, to a Michael Nyman composition, and include arrangements of music by Dvorak (9th Symphony), Sibelius (Finlandia), and Albinoni (adagio).
The orchestral arrangements are lush and rich, but above all it is Will Martin's extraordinary voice and intensity of feeling which carries this notable debut CD. Hard to categorise, this is timeless music which should appeal to a very wide audience; or anyone prepared to put aside any prejudices against such indefinable music.
It will be interesting to see where this young singer goes from here.

""A voice that comes along once in a generation" is what Universal execs say and is absolutely true. If purchasing this album, be prepared to be swept off your feet with emotion from the sheer purity of each word, each note. An album for the whole family. There is a video sample at www.malesingers.ning.com if interested."
