Not as good as Hate Culture, but a very solid album

"This is my very first amazon review. I had extremely high hopes for this album after listening to Hate Culture regularly for 2 whole years. Compared to other bands follow up albums that I've been listening to lately I'd have to say its well done. There are only 2 knocks on Noir that I don't give it a 5 star rating. 1) Overall its not as good as Hate Culture..doesnt seem as edgy... but this is more a testament to how good the first album was. 2) This is the biggest one.. the song "Why dance with the devil when you have me" is horrible. Especially the rap(?) bits at the end.
Buy it and enjoy!"
Disappointed

"I listened to this CD over and over just to try to overcome my initial disappointment; nothing worked. Compared to Hate Culture, Noir does not even compare in quality of songs and edge. I really LOVED Hate Culture and Noir is simply not up to par by a long shot. The CD does not even kick off until track 6 and what's the deal with the remake of Elvis' Can't Help... at track 5? This CD has already been retired to my archives while Hate Culture remains at hand."
