CD ReviewsA Great Recording of one of the Greats Sancho Panza | Bloomington, IN USA | 09/10/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "In an age where flawless new digital recordings reign supreme, historical gems like this sometimes fall into the cracks. Here we have Primrose, arguably the greatest violist of the 20th century, playing some of the most sensuous and lyrical music for the instrument. True history buffs will enjoy the latter portion of the CD, in which Primrose's arrangement style is presented in order from simple chordal accompaniment to the full orchestral score. The Sinfonie Concertante and Liebesleid recordings surpass the quality of previously released albums and fun tunes like "Perpetuum Mobile" and "Jamaican Rumba" round out the list. A truly wonderful collection."
