"Mr Afinque as he is populary known, has certainly contributed to the popularity of salsa in more ways than one: Not only has he stayed active throughout 3 decades creating great hits, but also managed to have the best singers who often spin off into solo careers. This compilation definitely has some of the best he's offered with his orquestra throughout the years, but listen closely and you'll hear young Tony Vega, Gilberto Santa and Primi Cruz among others, masterfully guided by Rosario. The only dissapointment is that there are no liner notes and credits that would let you in the little known facts in creating an incredible ensemble of talent as he's always managed to do. In spite of this, the music will definitely prove why salsero Tony Vega often exclaims: Viva Rosario!"
