"I have had the chance to listen to this great CD, especially complimenting on Sparke's Dance Movements, perhaps an off-shoot of Bernstein's Overture to Candide, as magnificent piece of music. The North Texas Wind Ensemble is superior in its ablitiy to play. When I was in the marching band, an arranger arranged Dance Movements and other Sparke compostions into our show, The Music of Philip Sparke. I can never forget those rhythms of high-jolt and melodies that stay with you forever. I recommend this CD to the classical lover and anyone else."

"I have every one of the Klavier recordings by Eugene Corporon (including those not available through Amazon.com). While I would recommend every one of them, my highest commendation goes to Wind Dances. The North Texas Wind Symphony performs to its standard level of perfection, which is no easy task with these technically challenging works. The music is accessible to the novice listener, yet challenging and exciting to even the most seasoned afficionado. Without a single weak composition, I am especially impressed with Hart's Circus Ring, which is as exciting on the 100th hearing as it is on the second (nothing can top the surprise of its first hearing); and Sparke's Dance Movements, which still moves me to chills and tears (especially, to this old trombonist, the brass chorale in the third movement). Buy this CD, and make your friends listen to it, too!"

"This is one incredible CD. The recording is crystal clear, the playing is technically superb as well as totally musical, and the works are refreshingly imaginative. "Dance Movements" by Philip Sparke will knock your socks off! I am starting to think of Eugene Corporon as the Georg Solti of the band world. Sure wish I was back in college where I'd get the chance to play some of these works. Hey Klavier, ever consider putting out some boxed sets of this series? I may have to break the bank to get them all individually, but I'm hooked. Very few professional symphony orchestras regularly program new pieces of this quality."
Sparke is incredible!

"The entire disc is worth three times the price, but the Philip Sparke is one of the most overall pleasing pieces I have ever heard. Addd this to your collection."
