A Twin Guitar Triumph With Vocals to Match
FRenzy | NH, USA | 08/09/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Clan Destiny shows this vastly underrated band at the top of their game, after over 35 years of recording, touring and many personnel changes along the way. The band stays true to form with their signature sound still unique and fresh. This time out however, the songwriting has leapt forward and founding-member Andy Powell's vocals are stronger than previous efforts. The guitars take a back seat in some cases to the songwriting- there's less soloing than on other WA recordings but what's there serve the songs well.

From "Eyes Wide Open", the first track to the blues classic, "Motherless Child", the band takes you on a ride with superb playing and vocals."
New ash with the classic sound
Ed Pardee | hewitt, tx | 06/11/2006
(4 out of 5 stars)

"let's call this what it really is, the andy powell project(mk III). i saw this lineup live just a few months ago and they were great. muddy is the best guitarist since ted turner. this album has something that has been lacking from wishbone ash for many, many years, the classic ash tone. i love every song except for steam town, it just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the album. also, the songs could have been longer, there's no extended jamming. the song capture the moment reminds me of the pilgramige album. overall this is a great cd, 4 stars because of steam town."

"I have been a Wishbone Ash fan since the beginning, this is a nice cd to rock to. Has the traditional WA sound and vocals, was happy I bought it."
