"This cd is wonderful. Bornkamp's playing is superb. This is the best recording of the Creston I have heard. He takes everything at the marked tempo, (except he slows the 2nd movement down a touch) and his uses just the right lenght of retards and acclerado's to give the work shape. The piece is like glass, virtually flawless. Schmitt's Lengende is also very good. I think he uses to much vibrato in the sustained sections, making it seem like a machine gun. That is the only flaw I see in the work. Otherwise it is great listening. This is also the best recording of the Denisov I've heard. It made me want to go play it. He plays this confusing, difficult work with ease. The technical passages fly out of his horn crisply and cleanly. Overall, this is a wonderful cd that should be owned by all saxophone players. A nice selection of beautiful liturature played at its best."

"In short this is the best CD of classical saxophone music I heard to this day. Arno Bornkamp is a true vituoso, but also a very expressive musician with a absolutely wonderful sound. Noteworthy is also pianist Ivo Janssen...even if you are not interested in saxophone music buy this CD for the piano playing."
