Synopsis

Amazon.com
It's a stroke of marketing genius: Just before any of the World Wrestling Federation's stars enters an arena, his theme music blares over the speakers. It's an amazing dramatic device for the story-line- fueled "sports entertainment experience," and it drives the fans wild. It doesn't make for good songs, but that's not really the point--after all, the idea here is to get a distinctive 10 to 15 seconds that sounds good at stadium sound levels; after about 30 seconds it's easy to see that these "songs" are really nothing more than pumped-up jingles. As a series of commercials for the WWF's stars, 14 of which are represented here, or as a memento for fans, this disc is made to order. If you're looking for a CD that you'll actually put on the stereo for fun, you're better off with either Steve Austin's Stone Cold Metal or ECW: Extreme Music. --Randy Silver

Great Wrestling Cd

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I will give you opinions of all the songs on the cd.1-undertaker= This song is my favorite. It's better than the one that's on vol.42-edge= I really don't like this song. Get the volume 4 version.3-x-pac= This is a great song. It really get 's you're blood pumping.4-dude love= I think this song sucks. Why did they put the song on this cd when it was on vol.2 They should have replaced it with lod's theme music.5-kane= This song is good especially with the loud blast at the beginning.6-the rock= I think they should have advertised the song that's on this cd because the one they advertised on the commercial is not the one on the cd. But this song is still good.7-Gangrel= This song is a pretty good fast paced gothic song.8-shamerock= This song get's you excited.9-oddities= I think this song by the ICP sucks.10-DX= This song is great specially at the beginning when they say break it down. The people that sing this song are called the chris warren band. They should have they're on cd because they have come out with three great songs which are DX, X-pac's theme and triple h's theme on vol.4.11-Sable= Not to good. 12-New age outlaws= Great theme specially with the road dog's lyrics.13-Val Venis= The song is basically a redone version of "The model Rick Martel's music." It's ok.14-Stone Cold Steve Austin= This theme is great. I love the part where the glass breaks."

"track 1)Far better than Undertaker's volume 4 mixtrack 2)Not any less good than the one on volume 4,they are both good in their own way.track3)I like this cut a lot. But not as good as the DX theme.track 4)How could you not love the dude or his music? Not EXACTLY like his volume 2 theme. Exact sound except clearer and loudertrack 5)Kane's theme is one of the most emotional musical pieces ever written. Listen closely for the little piano solo.track 6)This is the best theme Rocky ever had.His lyrics really define his personality plus the remixed nation theme in the background is awesome and implies power.track 7)This gothic theme is really good.track 8)Same situation as with Edge's themes....... this one is not better than the volume 2 one, just mixed differently.track 9) Funky song!track 10)One of the best themes ever! Good enuff for radio play.track 11) Sables theme.........is not good as the other ones.......not the same as volume 2 slightly better mix but........ugh.track 12) NAO theme is da bomb! So hard and intense! The Road Dogg's lyrics do NOT ruin the song at all! They add to it!track 13) I think of Rick Martel when I hear this one. arrogance loltrack 14) OOOOOH HEEEELLLLLL YEAH. One of the best tunes ever composed."

"I actually don't have my own CD, I borrowed it from my friend. This is definitely the best CD yet. I gave it 5 stars. The songs: The Undertaker: This was a really sweet metal song. Sweet guitar solos and reccurring bell tolls. Perfectly suits the Taker. Best on the disc. *****
Edge: A cool theme. It's kinda slow at the beginning with a cool beat, but it speeds up through the song maintaining that cool beat. A good dance song. ***
X-Pac: A cool remix of the original DX theme. ***1/2
Dude Love: Play this one for your gramps or your dad...this is basically just a flat-out 70's disco song. Pretty lame. *
Kane: This is a cool song. Creepy organ music at the start blends greatly with the electric guitar. ****
The Rock: "The Rock says, the Rock, the Rock Says, Know Your Role" That's all it says. Simply put, it wasn't too good. **
Gangrel: This was a very cool theme. I loved it. This song is something you could blare out your windows on Halloween to scare the little kids. Cool guitar, too. ****1/2
Ken Shamrock: Pretty good. It sounds like the theme from an old western movie. Good, though. ***
Oddities: This one is funny. It's got a cool beat and hilarious lyrics, and the Insane Clown posse is singing it, so it can't get better. ****
D-Generation X: This is a basic original version of X-Pac's theme. It is very catchy and enjoyable. ****
Sable: MEOW! z...z...z... *
New Age Outlaws: It gets kind of boring, but is still good. ***
Val Venis: No drum beats, stupid lyrics. *
Stone Cold Steve Austin: This one RULES! Sweet guitar music blares as glass breaks in the background. ****1/2"
