"X-Press 2 bring a mutitude of credentials to the dance table (floor). Take unequal parts of the Balistic Brothers, Black Jazz Chronicles, Black Science Orchestra, and the Problem Kids to name a few and you get an idea of the wealth they draw from. MUZIKIZUM is the amalgamized summation of those influences. This is house music with a capital H. Big and bold as in a large sound. Boss beats, unrelenting bass, vocoder vocals, and some sanzzy funky jazz added in. 4 danceclub singles have already been culled from this collection to date - "Muzikizum", "Lazy" with David Byrne, "Smoke Machine", and "AC/DC". Don't be surprised if "Supasong", "I Want You Back" with Dieter Meier (of Yello fame) and "Call That Love" with Steve Edwards make that distinction also.....blazing the dancefloors and beaches of Ibiza this summer, the college campuses of the good ole' USA this fall. This threesome of talent have always had the knack. MUZIKIZUM is the proof in the pudding and every dish served up here. Invite the relatives over, dig in, there's enough to go around for everyone. A grand achievement on a "supa" scale as MUSIKIZUM will go down as the best and biggest dance album of the summer."
